Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE), the only Deemed University for fisheries in India, is the institution of higher learning for fisheries science. For the last four decades; CIFE has been proactive in research and development of fisheries and aquaculture both in India and world wide

CIFE offers Masters and PhD programs in specialized branches of fisheries, undertakes cutting edge research, conducts capacity enhancement programs, and provides technical support and consultancy to development agencies, fishers, farmers and entrepreneurs.
